So, the portable is about 70% disassembled... and I have discovered something interesting.

A portable dishwasher is a regular dishwasher bolted to a steel chassis. The U-shaped sides bolt to that, and the wooden top bolts to the sides.

I could literally swap out the entire dishwasher with my known-good one.

It would no longer be modding. It would be a 4 wheel portable conversion to the Kenmore.
